I am me – beyond the shadow of a doubt!
The Vision of Future ID-Card Systems
The ID cards of the future will give their users absolutely water-tight identification and will be fully proofed against tampering and manipulation. For instance, owners of electronic ID cards will be able to administer their own data and will only activate such identity features as are needed to comply with particular user purposes.
What’s more, the ID card of the future will create mobile and flexible bonds between users and the objects they use like cars or medical equipment. Future personal identity documents will come both in physical and electronic forms.
So they will also enable access to digital services like e-business.
To make this vision reality, the Secure Identity Innovation Cluster is developing novel security features, materials and technologies that enable data to be generated, stored, visualized and checked for its authenticity.
Future Themes:
Secure Identity of People
Secure Product Identity
Materials and Technologies for Secure Identity
